Wow! When I seen that CA Harms was writing this book I was super excited for it. Darren is the perfect man. He is kind, loving, sexy, and very alpha. The scenes with Darren and his two daughter made me swoon and adding Greer to the dynamic made it me completely melt. This book was an amazing start to a fantastic series.This story took me through so many emotions, that I am still reeling from it. I am excited to see what is next with this series..especially Darren's brother Dean.If you love a great romance, a guy who would do anything for his daughters and woman, and a guaranteed HEA then this book is for you.

I Loved Darren and Greer's story!
Darren is an amazing father to his girls. Since he lost his wife , he has focused on his girls and never thought he would love again. Greer is feels like she is losing it with everything going on in her life and to add to that the loss of her father. So she heads to her family’s vacation home in Carolina beach to get away. When Darren and Greer meet it is an instant attraction. I Loved this book and I could not put it down!!
Wow just wow amazing beautiful written love story to have lost love and to find it again and not only to find love again and to take on being a mother to two beautiful little girl that a man had raised by he sefe sense loosing him wife and done a wonderful job and to open his heart again and find love with a wonderful woman who has a heart of gold

Sweet book from beginning to end.
I wasn't sure how Darren was going to be, letting himself love another woman. I was braced for more angst from him.
Greer was a good character. Nothing but good people in this, which was refreshing.

This was a beautiful love story between a single dad and a broken girl. Love always happens when you least expect it to and this was an amazing story depicting just that. My heart was so full envisioning the love Darren had for his two little girls. He would do anything for them and it was very obvious. Greer was a beautifully broken girl who wasn't looking for love but always knew what it should look and feel like. It's a beautiful love story between two people who have both felt pain and loss and are now on the path to healing. I laugh and cried through the whole book. I'm a life long fan of CA Harms and cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
I bought this book because of the author. I have her Sawyer Brothers collection in my as one of my favorite series. This will definitely go into my collection of favorites. Especially if this series continues to be as excellent as this first book of the Carolina Beach series.
As someone who lost a beloved parent unexpectedly and much too soon, I could identify with Greer. Ms Harms is spot on in the grieving process that Greer experienced. The development of the relationship between Darren and his girls and Greer was beautifully written. It was natural and flowed with such believability that I could easily hear these characters tell me their story. Ms. Harms writing style is one of perfection. This story is told from both Greer's and Darren's point of view and is thoughtfully blended. The secondary characters are playfully written family members and made me laugh. And there is just the right amount of heat to sizzle the pages and put Darren among the top of favored book boyfriends.
There were some minor editing misses which normally would knock a book down a rating for me, but to do so would be an injustice to the author. This a an incredible story of working through grief and finding love on the other side.
I really liked this book. I really liked the main characters and the daughters of Darren.
Greer's grief was so real. I've lost a parent and reading her reaction, her trip to the hospital, her breakdowns. It all felt SO real (and was almost identical to what I went through when I lost my father). It honestly made it hard to read, but I did, because it was so good.
Vivian and Violet make the story. They are great kids and so fun. My only complaint is the "Strife" that the MCs go through. If they would simply speak to one another, everything would be fine. I always get annoyed with characters just don't communicate.
CA Harms knows how to break your heart and heal it, all within the pages of one book. She knows how to masterfully write an emotional romance that fully covers the value of second chances. From each one of her books, I've come to expect an amazing story, and let me tell you, she never disappoints.
"You're my forever," he whispered against my neck ... "My today, my tomorrow."
The story behind Darren's character will make your heart ache. You can't help but feel for the man! Loosing his wife, the love of his life? Uh, tear-jerker! His two little girls are the most adorable characters EH-VER. Oh, my heart! They are just too adorable!! I could see why and how easily Greer fell in love with them! How could she not?
Greer's story is not as heart-breaking as Darren's, but still quite emotional. Losing her dad and coming home to find her boyfriend doing the tango with another woman STINGS....badly! A vacation is just what she needed!
Darren and Greer could not have met at a more perfect time. Their story is very much realistic, and I love that! CA shows us the insecurities they both feel as they're getting to know each other, mainly Darren with being a single father. Seeing him worry about how his relationship with Greer could affect his girls is truly something that melted my heart while reading, and it was spot-on!
"I feel like all those dreams I had as a little girl have finally come true and for once I'm being granted the happy ending I've always only dreamed of."
Such a GOOD book. A beautiful, sexy, and fun story that had me glued to my iPad from beginning to end. In true CA Harms fashion, this is a must-read! FIVE STARS!
